Getting started is simple—register online using the “Sign up” button and receive details for your 8-hour in-person course. Classes require a minimum of 8 participants, while employer-hosted sessions are available with a minimum of 4 participants and can be arranged by emailing chelsea@growwise.ca to select a date.
Participants must obtain and review the Core Manual from Lakeland College prior to attending and bring government-issued photo ID to the course. Authorized Assistants are permitted to perform many pesticide-related duties under a certified applicator without direct supervision. Course fees are $210.00 per participant, with additional travel costs of $0.65/km for employer-hosted sessions outside the Calgary Metropolitan Area and a $250 hotel and meal subsidy for locations more than two hours from Calgary.
